In order to print from your laptop or remote computer to an Maseeh College printer, you will need to follow a series of steps.

The first is to set up a VPN connection http://www.cat.pdx.edu/windows/maseeh-college-vpn.html

After you have set up the VPN connection, open the connection to vpn.cecs.pdx.edu
From here, you have two different options for setting up the printer you wish to use.

Option 1:

Open the Add Printer Wizard by either going to:

Start -> Settings -> Printers and Faxes
Or Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes

When you have found the add printer wizard, open it and follow the instructions below: 

For example, if you wished to connect to the black and white printer in FAB 115, you would select “Connect to this printer” and type \\frost.cecs.pdx.edu\fab115bw1

You will be asked to authenticate with a username and password.
Use your Maseeh College username, in the format CECS\username.

Option 2:

Open Windows Explorer and type \\frost.cecs.pdx.edu in the address bar. You will need to authenticate with your Maseeh College username and password. The username needs to be in the format CECS\username.

This will bring up a window (as shown below) that lists all printers available for connection through Frost.

To connect to a printer, right-click on the printer and select “connect to printer.”

At this point, you will have successfully added the printer to your list of printers, and will be able to use it for printing as long as you are connected through the VPN.
