NoNav instructions for Windows
If you cannot remove Symantec Anti-Virus from you computer you may need to use NoNav.
-
Be sure NoNav is Necessary
Using NoNav to remove Symantec Anti-virus should be used as a last resort when add/remove programs
is insufficient to completely remove Norton or Symantec antivirus
applications. If you wish to remove a McAfee application please use McAfee Consumer Products Removal Tool.
Please use add/remove programs before using NoNav.
-
-
Launch NoNav
Open the file NoNav2.5.
-
A window will open confirming that you wish to remove Symantec Anti-virus (and several other pieces of anti-virus software).
-
Click OK.
-
Several dialogs like the one pictured will appear asking about various details. Unless you know a reason to do otherwise, click OK or Yes in response to all its questions.
-
NoNav can take quite a while to run, as it runs a number of items will be printed to the window it launched earlier.
-
Restart your computer.
Finally, NoNav will restart your computer, if it does not please restart your computer manually.
