What is it?

ELMS for MSDNAA is an online software system where eligible students and faculty can download and access a wide range of Microsoft developer tools, servers, and platforms. There is no charge to download the software as long as you are an eligible user in the System.

Who is eligible?

Any student currently enrolled in a class offered by the Maseeh College is eligible. Any current faculty member in a Maseeh College department is also eligible.

E-academy Inc., a partner of Microsoft, provides ELMS, the software download website, for MSDNAA.

How do I register?

Student registration requests must be made in person at a CAT front desk pod. PSU ID verification is required. You will be required to furnish an e-mail address which ELMS will use as both your login name and contact point.

If you are unable to visit in person, a faculty member from a Maseeh College department will need to submit an e-mail request on your behalf.

Maseeh College departmental faculty members may send email to support@cat.pdx.edu to request registration for themselves or for students in their classes. The email request should include a list of real names, their CAT account usernames AND an email address for each person to be registered.

The CAT then registers the requested persons in the program using the given email addresses. They are e-mailed login information from ELMS and allowed to login to the e-academy site.

How long do the licenses last?

The registrations provided by the CAT are good for one academic year from the term they're issued.

What software is available?

A partial list of software is available at the PSU Maseeh College MSDNaa page. (Click on the Software link on the top of that page.)

Some examples of available software include Windows XP Professional, Windows 2003 Server, Visual Studio .Net, MSDN Libraries, SQL Server Developer Edition, and Visio.

Note that the main Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) are NOT included in this program.
