Anti-Virus software for Tier 3 Windows users

Portland State University has recently transitioned to the McAfee anti-virus product.  If you are a Tier 3 user and have an older install of the PSU supplied version of the Symantec product, be aware that this software is no longer supported.

If you do not have any other up-to-date Anti-Virus software running on your system, please make sure you have downloaded and installed McAfee.

Anti-Virus software for MacOS users

PSU used to have a version of Symantec AV for MacOS users.  This version is no longer under support, but will continue to run and update virus definitions.  Should there be an internal bug in the AV program, upgrades will no longer be covered.

The Mac-based version of McAfee is not yet available for PSU users.  If you are interested in securing your Mac for anti-virus threats, we recommend the free software ClamXav .
