The following explains how to setup wireless access to PSU Secure through 802.1x in OS X. (Tiger, Leopard, and Snow Leopard)
Instructions for Snow Leopard ( Mac OS 10.6 )
1. Open System Preferences from the Apple Menu and click Network.
2. In the Network pane select AirPort.
3. Click Advanced and then 802.1X in the new resulting pane.
4. Click on the + and a new menu you will come up. You will want to selectthe Add User Profile entry.
5. Fill in the new text box with WPA: PSU Secure. Put your MCECS credentials in User Name and Password. Then deselect PEAP.
6. Now highlight TTLS and click configure. You want to change the entry in the drop down menu from MSCHAPv2 to PAP and click OK.
7. Then click OK again and then Apply. After this you want to click Advanced once again.
8. Now
we will click the plus sign on the default AirPort pane that came
up after you clicked Advanced. This will bring up the interface for
adding a new wireless network.
9. The Network Name will be PSU Secure. In the Security drop down select WPA2 Enterprise. Then in the 802.1X drop down you will select WPA: PSU Secure, which you created earlier. Selecting this will fill in User Name and Password for you.
10. Now click Add then OK and then Apply for the last time. You will notice that the section below 802.1X on the Network pane will change to Authenticated via TTLS and after 5 or 10 seconds you will get a valid PSU IP address. At this point you are good to go with secure wireless. Happy browsing.
Instructions for Leopard ( Mac OS 10.5 )

Open "System Preferences"

Click the "Network" icon

Select "Airport" in the left column

Click the "Advanced" button

select the "802.1X" pane
-
From the "Domain:" drop-down, select "User"

If no configuration exists in the "Configurations" list then create a new one by selecting the plus sign on the bottom left hand side of the windows. Otherwise select the configuration you wish to edit.

Enter your ODIN or MCECS username and password in the respective fields.

Under the "Wireless Network" drop-down select "PSU Secure"

Check the boxes next to TTLS and PEAP
-
Hightlight the TTLS line and select the Configure command.

Make sure that the TTLS inner Authenication option is set to PAP

Select "OS"
-
Hightlight the PEAP option and select the Configure command.

Make sure that the Outer Identity field is blank.

Select "OK"
-
Select "Apply"

You may need to turn your airport off and back on again from the menu or the network preference pane
Instructions for Tiger ( Mac OS 10.4 )

Open up the Internet Connect application. This is found in the Applications folder.

Select File -> New 802.1x Connection...
-
Under the Configuration drop down select Edit Configuration. If no configuration exists then create a new one by selecting the plus sign on the bottom left hand side fo the window.

Select the Airport for the Network Port.

Enter in your ODIN user name and password.

Under the Wireless Network select PSU Secure
-
Check the boxes next to TTLS and PEAP
-
Hightlight the TTLS line and select the Configure command.

Make sure that the TTLS inner Authenication option is set to PAP
-
Select Okay.

Hightlight the PEAP option and select the Configure command.

Make sure that the Outer Identity field is blank.

Select Okay.
-
Select Okay.
-
Select Connect.
At this point if everything is set up correctly the connection should be made and you will no longer need to use NoCat to get wireless access around campus.
When you close the Internet Connection application make sure that you save your changes so you will not have to set it all up over agian.
