Sun offers up to 20% (varies by product category) additional discount on Sun hardware and software, beyond your Institution's normal discount as an in kind contribution in support of your research efforts.* This discount can be used instead of the edu-promo if you are trying to get something that is not covered by the promo. The effects of the discounts are NOT cummulative. Sun sometimes has a 50% matching grant program. Check their website periodically to see if it is active.
